Choosing a fraternity can be a really hard decision. Pi Kapps are up front about who we are, each of our members are living proof of why we’re America’s Leading Fraternity. We try to overcome negative sterotypes by doing things to show people that we are a serious organization created not just to party and socialize (which we do plenty of), but also to give back to the community, make a positive impression upon the NSU campus, and most importantly, make our member’s college experiences the best they can possibly have.

We want you to get to know our current brothers, our 100-year legacy, and the ideals we live by. Pi Kapp will help you excel as a well-rounded student and a well-rounded man.  We are a very laid back and easy going group of guys, yet we have more brothers in campus leadership positions than other other Fraternity at NSU, including the Student Government Association, Freshman Connectors, ROTC, campus media, and the Spirit of Northwestern. We have men involved in all aspects of university life, whether campus organizations, sports, or service.

We strive for the highest possible standards of achievement. Pi Kappa Phi has held the highest GPA among IFC fraternities in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.  Not only are Pi Kapps leaders in the classroom, but on the field as well.  Pi Kapp at NSU was the Intramural all-sports champions in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2006.

Pi Kappa Phi is the only national fraternity to own and operate its own philanthropy. Push America’s mission is to provide service, promote volunteerism, and foster education and awareness on behalf of people with disabilities.  This year our chapter and individuals raised over $18,000 for Push America.  This summer, two of our chapter brothers are participating in Push America’s Journey of Hope, a bicycle ride from San Francisco to Washington, DC on behalf of disabilities.  Your involvement will allow you to touch the lives of some very special people.

Pi Kappa Phi boasts one of the best social calendars on campus. Each semester we have multiple exchanges with sororities, our annual formal in New Orleans, Fall water party, crawfish boils, various brotherhood events, road trips, and cookouts.  Our chapter hous is a mainstay within our chapter.  Socials, brotherhoods, and countless other events take place at our house.  Pi Kappa Phi is one of only 3 fraternities at NSU that offer a live-in house for its members.

Still, we pride ourselves in the most important aspect of fraternity life, brotherhood. As the oldest fraternity on campus, we understand the importance of tradition.  The experiences you gain by spending your college career with 40 of your brothers is unlike any other offered at Northwestern State.  In 1904 our founders realized this idea of a true life-long brotherhood, and we are happy to carry it on today.  Founded in the South, we understand the importance of living as men of CLASS and true gentlemen.

Our goal is not to change who you are, but to give you the opportunity to build yourself into a better man. Rushees always sense something unique when they visit our house. Here, they feel comfortable, not fake.
